Returning

Dear Readers,

I was away for a couple months due to some increasing stressful situations in my personal life. Because of a few things that have happened, I started really slipping into a depression again and just didn't feel much like writing. Or doing much of anything, for that matter. But now I think I've been away long enough, and am going to be making an effort to come back and be active again. I'll be posting this notice on each of my blogs, so that every visitor knows where I have been. I'm sorry for any inconvenience, although I admit my absence has probably gone mostly unnoticed. Ah, well. I'll be working on getting back in the swing of things in the next few weeks. I hope the increased activity attracts me some more traffic! It's good to be back, everyone :)

Collecting Sources

Now that I have my basic guide for finding a credible source, I will be compiling a list of source I trust and why. I might also come up with a list of sources that are not credible, and why I think that. This could be helpful, in case I want to explain to anyone at all, or even just remember why I don't trust a particular source. So for June, I will be getting these resources together, and making a page to present them on. I'll post again when I'm finished, though I'm not sure how long it will take since I have multiple other projects going on. Till next time.

Credible Source Sheet

I was finally able to compose all the pros and cons, the things that make a source credible or not, and put them into a simple sheet to fill out. It's something I'll be using to evaluate sources from now on, as a base line. I might take other things into consideration and be lenient on some things, but generally this is what I will follow.

Sources and Their Credibility

This month I'll be getting started by doing a quick study and overview of informational sources.

The Importance of Sources
Sources are the most important part of the research process, and are the first thing you should consider when you look at information that is presented. If someone gives you a bit of information, the credibility of their source of that information is crucial. Not all sources have reliable information. To form ideas or opinions based on unreliable facts, or even outright wrong ones, is a bad idea. It not only leaves you believing something that probably isn't true, but it also gives you bad representation of yourself. This is why having good sources can mean everything, as when discussions arise you want to know that the facts your opinions are based on are well founded.

What Is A Source?
A source can be any place that you can obtain pieces of knowledge. Sources are usually known to be printed materials like books and magazines, but with the age of technology we have now, there are other digital media to be considered. There are plenty of factual blogs, journals, podcasts, and videos which can be very informative. A lot of these can even be highly reliable, but not always. The study I'll be doing should help me determine which sources are better for the kind of research I plan to do.

So let me take a minute here to address what I'll be looking for in the next couple weeks as I collect this information. I have a few guided questions which should help me in my search.
  • What makes a good source? How do I know if my source is good?
  • Where can I find reliable sources?
  • What are some good general sources?
I'll be trying to answer these questions at the end of the month, possibly in an entirely different post, or maybe as a reference page at the top or side of the blog. For now, however, I'm going to use the rest of this post as a kind of workspace. I'll also collect any links or other information I plan to use.

[Note to Self:] Since my goal is to create a reliable list of good, quality sources, perhaps it would also benefit me to keep a record of sources I have discredited and why. It should also be helpful if I were to create a source evaluation page, much like a checklist, so I can review sources quickly.

[April 5th:] The first step is to simply collect places to gather information from. I can read through them to make sure I want to use them, but this first part won't count as "accessing" the source in the bibliography sense.

Slenderman: Theories and Speculation

[Note: This is the document dedicated to theories and speculation about the entity known as Slenderman. If you don't know who Slenderman is or are unsure of something which was covered previously, please refer to the other document concerning him. Due to the sheer volume of speculation here, I divided the document in half so you could see which theories have been presented, which have been generally ruled out, and those which are still being considered. Note that this document was created as a result of a conversation on Facebook, and as such there will be references to others who participated in the discussion.]

----------------------------------------------------------------
Dismissed or Out of Play Theories :
-----------------------------------------------------------------
There are numerous theories as to who or what Slenderman could actually be, where he could have originated or come from, what it is that he wants or searches for, and why he does the things he does. It is open to much speculation as there are really not that many hard facts to go off of. However, our previous discussion had some interesting theories to it , some of which seem to have been quickly dismissed after not much deliberation and others to which we have yet to come to a conclusion on. I'll start by going over the theories we discussed that were for the most part finished in the conversation at the most recent point in time.

First we have the theory that Slenderman could be a Tulpa. A Tulpa is essentially a pocket of energy, most famous for its use with the Buddhist monks long ago. Generally, the Tulpa can be programmed or told to do just about anything upon it's creation, and it's power is highly derived from the belief and energy put into it. This is an interesting thought process, but it does have it's obvious flaws. Tulpas thrive on belief in them. This is where they get their power. But there are many occurrences of people subconsciously knowing of Slenderman before having been exposed to him from an outside influence. That being said, it is hard to think you could believe in something that you were not even aware of, or that had previously been introduced to your mind's forefront. However, on the off chance that Slenderman was a Tulpa, not believing in him, or believing in his weaknesses, would most likely have little affect on his presence, if any. This makes it doubtful that he is this kind of being. It is to be noted, however, that Slenderman seems to not waste time with those who do not believe in his existence, instead visiting those who think of him to be real and believe this, even going so far as to dream about him.

The second theory which easily stands out as being dismissed is the idea that Slenderman is a type of Bogart. Bogarts are usually described as living under bridges, near sharp bends in the road, and inside chimneys. Their other behaviors, such as touching or making contact with people in their sleep to make them cold without their knowledge. It should also be noted that in some legends Bogarts are supposed to transform into what someone fears the most, especially on a subconscious level. That being said, the likelihood that entire groups of people just happen to fear a tall slender man in a dark energy and clothing is a little bit of a stretch. Though some might see the similarities, I simply don't, though it is up to the reader to decide what they think for themselves.

The third theory which was introduced is the possibility that Slenderman could also be a type of Wendigo, which is essentially a type of being which is similar to a native American zombie. For the most part. I'm skeptical of this idea myself, however, because legends generally say that Wendingos turn their victims into "one of them" which is very similar to a zombie virus. This can be a choice or can be done automatically. This is not really reported among Slenderman victims or their remains. Slenderman victims which are actually found are usually mutilated, not eaten or bitten, and are usually impaled ritualistically. Still, it's possible that Slenderman could be eating the victims that aren't found, but it is not really something that is reported.

The fourth theory which was easily passed over was the possibility that Slenderman is a type of shadow being. From my personal experience, I felt the energy of a being I believe to be a shadow being. I also felt the energy of a being which does fit the description of Slenderman. They were oddly similar, but this does not necessarily mean he is a shadow being. However, it should be noted that shadow beings are said to feed off of negative emotions and energy, which Slenderman also seems to have a habit of. This could imply that he is related to a shadow being in some way, though he could be a much more adept one. Amelia suggested he could be a wraith, but this possibility has yet to be discussed.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Theories in Play or Under Current Speculation :
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The vast majority of the above theories have substantial flaws, and although they don't convince me, they might convince someone else. At the very least, they should still be taken into consideration when speculating Slenderman theories in the future, as it is good to be aware of what has been covered and what hasn't.

One theory that was still actively being considered towards the end of the discussion is the possibility that Slenderman himself could be a type of deity or that he could at least be related to a deity in some way shape or form. This is a little bit of a stretch, but has gone through a little bit of speculation between Thomas and James. It was suggested that Slenderman could be related to a type of death deity or god. To me it seems like this could be very possible, especially considering that he is a very chaotic being. This has yet to really undergo any serious discussion though and is open for debate. There was a second theory which I personally was still tossing around in my head, though maybe I'm the only one doing so. The particular theory I mean is the one suggesting that Slenderman could be a being from Limbo. There are accounts that describe Slenderman as being a sort of woodland creature or wood nymph, or potentially a fairy of some kind. As far as I know, though I could be in the wrong, originally these creatures typically exist in Limbo or a world similar to Limbo. There are a few things that point to this theory, namely that he is mainly sighted by, near, or in the woods. If he is not seen near the woods, he is at least seen by a tree of some kind, usually of the large variety. In addition to this, any victims of his, if they are ever found, are in the woods. This could indicate that he simply likes being there. It is entirely possible that the woods could resemble his natural habitat and even be his home. This could be a distinct point in the direction of the nymph or fairy idea, though the theory has yet to be discussed in much more detail.

Another theory that was passed around quite a bit was comparing Slenderman to a vampiric entity of sorts. Thomas remarked that the tendril type appendages Slenderman is often thought to have reminded him of the tendrils that Psychic Vampires use for tendril feeding. It was noted that since he feels like a vortex to some (mainly stemming from the account I shared, though I'm sure others feel this way) that this could be a sign he is draining or influencing the energy of the person he has got his sights set on. There is an express possibility that he could in fact be made of the same kind of energy or material that these psychic tendrils are made from. These appendages are ethereal / astral energy used in feeding, often like other metaphysical constructs made of energy. These tendril appendages are often attached to the one who is using them to feed, as they are attached to a donor for absorption of their energy. Amelia noted, however, that several entities on the astral plane feed on energy of others, therefore it's possible the term "vampire" would not apply completely to Slenderman, despite the fact that he seems very similar. Personally I'd like to see this possibility discussed a bit more, but it's not entirely up to me.

The last theory that was being tossed around at the time of the "extinction" of the thread as the distinct possibility that Slenderman could actually be a kind of entity or being that has not yet been defined or understood.

*Thomas himself speculated that he could be a deceased being who has stayed behind as an entity to kill humans. He suggested that he could have made a deal of some sorts with another more powerful being or entity in exchange for the powers he wields. It was suggested that perhaps this more powerful being would simply benefit from being served by Slenderman.

Since it is not truly known what becomes of Slenderman's victims that aren't found, it is presumed they are killed. But the reason seems unclear. It is entirely possible that the life force of the victims could be converted to some ulterior motive or higher agenda. What this could possibly be, though, has not yet been debated and is open to discussion. At this point, it is purely speculation on this theory.

Slenderman: General Information

[Note: I felt that, due to the length and sheer volume of information, it would be easier to divide the sections of the text by dashed lines. The first section essentially describes Slenderman and some of his known power or influences. The second section outlines the subconscious images that have been with us that resemble him. The third section in this document lists sightings which have been shared. There is also a section of links and other key points or questions which may or may not have been addressed yet at the very end. I did my best to make sure no piece of information seems more important than another. This information is compiled from a discussion on Facebook, thus it can reference others in that group. Feel free to ignore this.]

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Profile of Slenderman - His Influence and Power(s) :
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Slenderman. Not much is known about him for certain, but what is known is that he is a very curious being. One which many people wish to know more about. We should start with the things which are commonly expressed about any supernatural powers or influences he may have.

First, the basic image of Slenderman. Often stylized Slender Man, Slenderman, or Slendy, this being is known to be abnormally tall and thin (slender, you might say) in body build. He has a deathly, eerily pale complexion, with a mostly black wardrobe to match. This is often in the current form of the modern suit, as it is often understood he is able to slightly alter his appearance. Although he has a head, he has no hair and is entirely void of expression as he has no facial features. Some encounters describe a possibility of Slenderman having a nose, but he is not known to have eyes, lips, or ears. His height tends to vary on the specific account of his appearance, though most people describe him as being somewhere between 7 and 10 feet tall. Additionally, he is thought to be able to extend his arms for the purpose of entrapping people in them. He is also thought to be able to produce extra limbs, usually in the form of tentacle looking appendages on his back. These are not always seen, but when they are it seems that they are used for the purpose of walking among the trees.

Slenderman has been said to have various powers, especially over the human mind, and several types of influences over people. He directly influences those he takes from their environment, but he also affects people which he uses as his agents or "Proxies" to take action on behalf of him or under his coercion. People known as Proxies are also directly under his control, though seemingly robbed partially or completely of their own free will and rational thought. Slenderman is often known for driving said Proxy to carry out a number of actions, sometimes going to such lengths as to incite violence or murder against others.

Sometimes, there is what's commonly called an Operator Mark (Slenderman sometimes goes by the name Operator) either in the mind of a person being affected by Slenderman or on a nearby surface where he could potentially be lurking. It is sort of a common symbol associated with him, and it looks like a circle with an X through it. If you type "Operator Mark" in a google search you will find some, most likely. It has been said people who are under Slenderman's influence can sometimes become obsessed with drawing this mark as well.

Thomas speculated that this influence Slenderman has over others could be the cause of somebody "creating" an image of him on an internet forum for a contest, thus bringing this creature to our conscious mind's forefront as an unsettling, unwelcome guest among us. This seems entirely plausible to me, and I wouldn't be surprised it was at least in some way the truth. Though it's understandable if this is harder to believe for others.

It is fairly obvious to those that have seen information on Slenderman before that his influence over people is not limited to passive behavior. He has been known to "stalk" or watch closely people he has interest in, at times actively making himself known to anyone under his watch. It is apparent that those who he makes himself known to often experience their senses dulling, as a sort of hypnotism he uses to draw people in to his clutches. Often those who have seen him have reported being deathly afraid to go closer, as a survival instinct might often alert us, but that this "comforting" vibe he gives off could be something similar to a snare for anyone he wishes to make his victim.

Slenderman's victims? Most are never found. On the off chance that some of them are indeed found, they are often discovered in the form of corpses found impaled on (either manually sharpened or unsharpened yet broken) tree branches. As far as we know, the woods are the only known location where any known victims have been found. Why this is the case is not really known for certain, but there are a few ideas as to why this could be the case.

* The woods could be a place for him to simply work undisturbed in the mangling and dismembering of his victims. He could go there for privacy, or simply because it is more relaxing.

* The impaling of corpses on branches could itself have ritualistic meaning to this entity, though the possible significance of such a ritual has not become clear to us as of yet.

*Since he is often seen there, and evidence of his "work" is often left for discovery there, it is a distinct possibility that this could be reminiscent of fondness to the woods in particular, which could mean that he simply prefers to be there. This could possibly indicate that it his home or something of a natural habitat.

------------------------------------------------------------------
Subconscious Images or Knowledge :
------------------------------------------------------------------
People who have studied things similar to Slenderman know that it is possible to carry subconscious knowledge of such a thing in the back of one's mind. There have been multiple times where it has been noted that people have some kind of notion or awareness that a being or entity that highly resembles Slenderman has existed. This seems a frequent occurrence, both on an individual and a collective basis.

This often manifests itself as images resembling him, sometimes in dreams or simply ideas in the active imagination. These often occur long before the concept of who or what Slenderman actually is has been introduced into the mind from an outside source or influence. This makes the instances especially curious, as the same concept stemming from multiple people who have never been influenced is something to take notice of. This could point to the substantial existence of Slenderman in one way, the way some people are simply aware of other kinds of spirits in the backs of their minds when they are young yet still unable to interpret them. The fact that people have "seen" him in their mind's eye without knowing anything about theories explaining him, or even simply suggesting he exists, might imply that he has been around long enough to have made quite an impact on quite a few.

Below I'll go into detail about instances when this has been demonstrated. If you or anyone else has an occurrence like this to add, feel free to do so or to let me know about it so that I may. I'd also be happy to add as much or as little detail s you like of your personal account.

The first person to note here is Amelia. She described her feelings after having initially seen photos of Slenderman on a link and thought it looked familiar. She expressed that she asked herself something along the lines of "Are you sure it hasn't already been around?"

For me, personally I have had images of him in my mind on more than one occasion. The very first episode of this happened around October (2011) when a friend of mine confided in me that he encountered something much like Slenderman. I had never heard of Slenderman at that point, so when he mentioned it, I had no clue what he meant. He lead me to some videos and I began to realize the creature was oddly familiar. I was in the process of re-organizing my desk at the time, so I had some pictures and doodles scattered on the top. I happened to look over at an old doodle of mine, which I had drawn about a year previous to that, if not more. The idea behind the doodle came to me entirely at random. I simply started wondering what a man who had no face would actually look like. I imagined a tall man with a pale, expressionless face. I ended up doodling his "face" or head, and tucked away the drawing until I had pulled it out to organize. I looked at it and realized he looked strikingly similar to Slenderman, at which point I became very interested in learning more, and did further reading upon the subject.

In the other group, Angelique expressed that she had always had a fear of an entity which seemed to be very similar to Slenderman. She said she had the fear ever since she was a child, and was reminded of it by an episode of Buffy. She didn't really go into much more detail than that, but it is notable that she had experienced this fear since what seems like years before having heard of Slenderman at all.

Thomas McGuine also commented that Slenderman could be "some manner of creature that has been among us always and has taken his 'current' form in our modern era." This seems more than likely to me, especially when I look at the evidence of his image in people's minds which have existed without being shaped by others.

--------------------------------------------
Sightings or Encounters :
--------------------------------------------
There have been many instances during which an entity or being which is particularly reminiscent of Slenderman has actually been sighted, encountered, or seen in some way shape or form. Some people believe that having a dream involving or related to Slenderman can count as an "encounter" as this could be evidence of being under his direct or indirect influence. For this reason, I will most likely include any dream related events in this portion.

Currently, there doesn't seem to be a known reason why some people who have encountered Slenderman have not been harmed or influenced by him. There are many ideas that could be presented as far as how to explain this. One idea is that he is very chaotic in his methods, or at least he seems to be, and it's possible one of his prime objectives after he has "targeted" or influenced someone could be to incite as much chaos and fear as possible. This could point to a possibility that he feeds from fear, or simply that he enjoys stirring it up inside people before abducting or killing them. This is not unlike the methods some serial killers use, to maximize the terror and fear in their victims.

There have been countless sightings of Slenderman, some of which have come about in this group's discussion. I'll do what I can to include as much detail as I can with what was shared. I'll start with my own, not because I feel my own are more important, but simply because I know my account better than I know someone else's.

When I first got involved with Slenderman, as I mentioned previously, it was due to a friend mentioning him to me. He didn't know how to best describe his physical appearance to me at the time, so he directed me instead to watch part of a video from the Marble Hornets video series.
If you are not familiar with Marble Hornets, I will give you a brief description. It is essentially a series of videos on youtube which at first are very convincing of Slenderman influencing the shooting of a short film. It is a film about a film, I guess you could say. Slenderman makes numerous appearances throughout the series. Marble Hornets is a work of fiction and should not be taken as real physical sightings of Slenderman.

When I first began watching them, I was unsure if the videos were fake. At the beginning they are fairly convincing, but after a few videos you can tell the forced acting and visual affects and such are limitless. This was how I first "learned" about Slenderman. I watched each video, hanging on every second, all in one night. Then I went to sleep, a bit unnerved at simply the idea that what I was seeing actually could be possible, even though the videos were faked. When I woke up (I sleep on my side) I lifted my head and looked towards my door. I believe I briefly saw what resembled Slenderman for just an instant, standing in the center of my room. I don't often recount this when I first mention that I have had an encounter with Slenderman. This is because it is entirely possible that since I was not "fully awake" my subconscious mind could have shown me something which was not really there. I acknowledge this to be a distinct possibility, but I am sharing it because it still influences my thinking.

The next time I "ran into" Slenderman, I was on a walk at night, sometime just before New Years Eve. I had become accustomed to walking at night because there have been several strange instances which I find are more easy to investigate and understand at night. On that particular walk, I was going to a spot I had been to before, one where I had run into a shadow being and had been investigating it further, when I was stopped by a being which introduced himself as a Gatekeeper. Whether the Gatekeeper is relevant to Slenderman in any way shape or form, I still do not know for sure. But I feel I should include it, simply because it was right after I had finished conversing with this being that I saw what I did. He appeared out of nowhere, despite the fact that I wasn't even thinking of him. I noticed the tall, thin, dark body in front of some nearby trees, about 11 o'clock in front of me. It was night, so it was dark outside, but his body was distinct and different from the darkness around him. I continued to look and saw his pale looking head, and instantly my vision went blurry. The air around the being in front of me seemed highly ethereal, almost swirling around and within him. He seemed to be like a ghost, yet more physical than that. At this time, my mind had remembered that some Slenderman accounts said something similar about the senses being dulled, something along the lines of "My mind was trying to prevent me from seeing what was in front of me." Then I felt myself being drawn into him, which made me extremely nervous. At that point I realized the blurriness in my vision was a defense mechanism of some kind, an alert, as if to wake up my senses and get myself out of the situation I was in. I was sensing danger and feeling fear, but I also felt a sense of trying to be comforted. I realized he was trying to soothe me, to coerce me to come closer. But I took notice of my instinct, and snapped myself out of it. I was able to hurry down the street and get back into my house, and when I got in I was shaking. I felt as if he was following me, which made me anxious.
Later, I noted that what I saw was more of a head with corrupted or missing facial features, as opposed to it appearing his face had been torn completely off or something of that nature. Whether this is how he actually appears and looks, I'm not sure, and it is possible what I "saw" was merely a product or effect of his energy. Though it seems to be common throughout many encounters.

A couple weeks after that (not sure of the exact date, but I could check later) I had a dream in which I was having a weekend house party with some of my friends. I noticed Slenderman's pale face peering in at me through a window of the house, and I noticed he turned his head and moved out of the window, as if he had noticed something. Then I saw the pale white silhouette of Masky (from Marble Hornets) who is sometimes associated with Slenderman. I took my friend into the kitchen to tell her what I saw, and noticed the pale faces still looking at me in the reflection of some kind of glass. It was either a window, or a TV, or something of the reflective sort. A girl in the other room also noticed this and panicked, fleeing the house and screaming. Then what appeared to be a shadowy appendage (much like Slenderman's many "tentacles") came out of the shadows and stopped her, grabbing her and slamming her against the house until she died. Note that this was merely a dream I had, and as such the significance may not be as much as a normal encounter. But he did appear to me there, and thus it is at least somewhat relevant.

Thomas also mentioned previously that he had a dream in which Slenderman had been mentioned. His post was as follows: I had a dream where he was off to the side in the distance. I had asked about what is truth and some kind of jaguar / spotted cat type being answered something about Slender Man creating the universe. Note that Thomas also expressed that he didn't necessarily believe this to be the truth, but simply mentioned that it's what his dream had told him.

Michael, who was also involved in he discussion mentioned that he had seen Slenderman. He noted in a post after sharing his sightings that he took a more solid form when appearing to Michael, as opposed to my more ethereal, semi-solid perception. Here is exactly what Michael's account of his sightings said: The first time I saw him, I was home alone. It was pretty late, I was about to go to my room to sleep when I heard something behind me. I turned and saw what looked like a man in a suit standing in the doorway to the far room. Needles to say, I sprinted to my bedroom and locked the door behind me, until the next morning. The second time, it was storming really bad outside. I had opened the door to look out, and I could barely make out the shape of something very tall and thin standing in the road, but I'm not entirely sure that was him. The third and last time was after I moved. I saw his reflection behind me in a mirror, but when I turned around, no one was there.

As far as sightings of Slenderman go, no many people are able to completely verify their encounter. To be able to do this, there would need to be either footage, photos, or another witness or account from someone who was also there. Because of the things necessary to make an encounter or sighting completely verifiable, people are often skeptical of singular firsthand accounts without any additional evidence. This is because people can often be in a mindset where they can mistake non-Magickal items or occurrences to be something more than they are, more so when they are tired or mentally / physically exhausted. Despite this, first hand accounts, even the kind you cannot completely verify, seem to be the most detailed accounts of what happens when he is near or how a person being affected by him feels. If anyone else has any sightings to add, you are more than welcome to, or you may tell me about it and I can add it for you if you like.
-------------------------------------------------
Other Questions to Ponder or Consider :
-------------------------------------------------
Who does he go after? When? Where? How often?

What defense(s) is (are) there against Slenderman?

In various sightings, is he known to be more solid or more blurry / etheral?

Does his impaling of victims on trees have ritualistic meaning? What kind?

Maybe he is a deity himself? If not, maybe he could be connected to one somehow? What kind of deity would he be similar to and why?

Research Process Template

This blog is intended as a place for me to organize data, collect my thoughts, do research, and record the results. But since research is an art unlike any other, there comes a demand for structure and organization. That's why I'm going to break down the process into smaller, more manageable parts. That way, I can set a goal for myself each week and hopefully do my best to reach it. It will be challenging, and I have to remind myself not to rush it, but I'd like to think I can do it consistently with enough determination. Here are the steps for research I'll (mostly) be following.

  • Identify the Topic or Point of Research: Decide who or what it is I want to learn more about. This can be as vague or specific as I like, but it should be noted that the direction should not be too narrow or too broad. Finding a happy medium will probably yield best results.
  • Find and Review Related Literature: At this step in the process, I will be collecting sources. I will evaluate their credibility, and will collect all the information about the sources into one place. Sources can be internet articles, books, magazines, television shows, podcasts, and the like. Five sources is the goal.
  • Collect Data: This is probably the most taxing part of the research process. I'll need to extract and collect data from each of my sources about my topic. The information can be general information, or can address specific questions. I will need this data and other information to back up my analysis, and I should be able to cite specific sources to accompany facts, especially of the statistic kind. It might also be a good idea to collect photos to accompany the information.
  • Analyze and Interpret Data - Present Possible Theories and Opinions: This is when I'll need to sort through all the information and data I've collected and explain what I've learned in a cohesive and easy to understand manner. This is a great time to present my thoughts and opinions about my topic to the reader. My writing shouldn't be pure opinion, but I should present facts to back up what I think and why.
  • Evaluate Research and Report: This is when I evaluate the effectiveness of my research. I decide whether I found the answers to the questions I had, and whether further research is necessary or not. I can evaluate my sources and do a final report on the entirety of what I found. I can also let through my strongest and most fact based opinions and finish up my final product of my research.

This is just a rough guide, but I will probably try to follow it pretty closely, simply because it is easy enough to understand and to go through. The research process will probably be a trial and error to some degree, so patience is a key thing to have when looking for answers. If all goes smoothly, I can crank out a topic of research in a month. Though there may be times it will take longer, this is generally my goal. I hope you enjoy seeing me search for information!

Introduction

I'd really like to introduce myself.

I am known to some as Bambi, a nickname rendered to me based on a fact of my early childhood. I am becoming known to a few as Mistress Lenore.  It is somewhat of a pseudonym, but is intended to be used by me in order to identify myself with my underground activities. If you'd like to communicate with me directly, I would prefer the use of either Bambi or Mistress Lenore. Thank you.

I am 19. My birthday is August 14th, 1992. I'm always looking for friends, so please feel free to email me. My email is wheresfrank2864212@yahoo.com.

I sing, read, write, watch anime, participate in photography, and hang out with friends and family. It is easy for me to care for other people. I love storms, rain, thunder, lightning, waterfalls, and almost everything about nature.

The purpose of this blog is to help me create a space to compile data and research. I have always loved learning new things and plan to make it a regular activity in the future.

Comments are very welcome on anything, but please try to stay on the positive side. Constructive criticism is always welcome and appreciated. I already have a bit of research done, and I plan to start posting each piece separately soon. After all my older pieces are posted, it is to be expected that art will be regularly posted on SUNDAYS. I cannot guarantee I will finish a piece each week, but this is my goal. Feel free to subscribe and keep up with me.
